Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali revealed a bombshell, indicating that Neroverdi the prodigy Giacomo Raspadori could see his career develop in another country and not in Italy.
Carnevali, who played a pivotal role in Sassuolo’s emergence as a feeder club for Azzuri giants, also believes that last-day opponents Milan have a better chance of grabbing the Shield Title.
In an exclusive interview with Sky Sport (via FCInterNews), the chief executive shared his thoughts on a few issues and one of them was Raspdori’s future.
“At the moment I haven’t sold him, I also hope to be able to keep him. I think that today, as the Italian market is, it is difficult. There are not many possibilities from an economic point of view, the Premier League is perhaps more feasible,” he revealed of the young striker’s future.
When asked about the Shield fight, Carnevali believes Milan will be the rightful winners of the league title.
He said: “It’s a good question, we play the last with Milan. As for the last days, the Rossoneri are favourites. They still have a few chances, Inter will play against Cagliari and it won’t be easy. I see Milan as the favourites.
Milan travel to Sassuolo on the final day of the league just 2 points clear of arch-rivals Inter. But they will first have to tackle Atalanta at home.
