Penn State fencing teams head to Duke University this weekend in a double-header

University Park, Pa. — Penn State’s men’s and women’s fencing teams will be on the road this weekend in Durham, NC Penn State will compete on Saturday, February 12 and Sunday, February 13 against Duke, North Carolina, Brandeis, Air Force, Johns Hopkins and Temple. The men’s team will face off on Saturday and the women’s team will face off on Sunday.

Fencing for women will be:

Foil: Samantha Catantan (Quezon City, Philippines), Claire Haas (Port Matilda, Pennsylvania), Ximena Iriarte-Estrada (Huixquilucan, Mexico), Sofia McGoff Medero (Gurabo, Puerto Rico), Arianna Proietti (Como, Italy), Ariel Rastep (San Francisco, California), and Mikaela Yhip (Chico, California)

Saber: Pauline conscience (Paris, France), Steph Jen (Taichung, Taiwan), and Ola Stralkowski (Littleton, Colo.),

Sword: Elias Cole (Chappaqua, NY), Ryan Griffiths (Fair Lawn, New Jersey), Pierre Kambeseles (Brooklyn, NY), Jonathan Piskovatskov (Houston, TX) Devin Tafoya (Highlands Ranch, Colorado), and Evan Xu (Sugarland, TX)

Foil: Sébastien Bicego (Vicenza, Italy), Arwen Borowiak (Tauberbischofsheim, Germany), Shane Iverson (Basking Ridge, New Jersey), Aidan Johnson (Oceanport, NJ), Donavyn Martinez (Fresno, Calif.), Nicholas Prince (Brooklyn, NY)

After this weekend, Penn State fencing will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah for the Junior Olympics.
