The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) participated in the BIT Milan travel fair to boost tourism popularity and destination momentum.
The travel fair is held at Fieramilanocity, Milan, which started on April 10, Sunday and will last until April 12, Tuesday.
Organized by Fiera Milano since the 1980s, BIT Milan is an international travel fair bringing together potential investors, business travel industry decision makers, tour operators and travel agents and connecting them with customers and other industry professionals.
Moreover, the travel industry event is the ideal backdrop for companies and companies in the travel industry to seek alliances and partnerships while promoting their respective brand images and products.
MMPRC was joined by a total of nine industry affiliates as co-exhibitors, and the participation is part of the tourism promoter’s marketing strategies to boost the destination in the Italian market.
The Maldives is being touted as a tourist haven offering natural social distancing due to its unique geographical landscape, while various tourist properties will be showcased and promoted at the event.
Italy has always been one of the main source markets for the Maldives with a total of 19,696 tourist arrivals from the country already recorded by the Ministry of Tourism for 2022 – indicating a market share of 6.8% .
