Ghanaian based in Italy recounts his regret after using 12,000 Ghc he saved for 5 years to travel abroad

A young Ghanaian man by the name of Francis Yankey recently got an interview with DJ Nyaami, where he opened up about how he immigrated to Italy and the regrets that came with it.

The post seen by on the Youtube channel from SVTV Africa told the young man that he had saved 12,000 Ghc in five years when he only earned 700 Ghc.

Recounting his journey, Francis shared that his first job was with a Chinese company in Takoradi and from there he moved to Accra to work as a driver. According to him, his salary of 700 Ghc was not enough, so he chose to take a part-time security position.

François first moved to Libya, then to Italy, where he currently lives. He admits he regrets migrating in the first place. He shared more about his story in the video linked below;

The video seen by had the man identified as Fiifi Boateng stating that if one stays in Ghana and is unable to earn Ghc 1,000 to Ghc 2,000 in a day, any Ghanaian is advised to emigrate to Ghana. foreign.

In the interview, Fiifi explained that he sees no point in living in a country where you earn peanuts when you stay to earn a lot more if you leave the country. He continued that as long as an individual acquires citizenship in a foreign country and is hardworking enough, he can earn a good living.

The young man revealed that he was able to obtain citizenship after marrying his Japanese wife. Fiifi shared that he was born in Kwahu but grew up in Accra. After school he worked for a while and decided to go abroad. He spoke with his brother-in-law who was based in Japan and was advised to move there instead.
