Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Beaupré | Rome Daily Sentinel

CITY OF STEUBEN – Elizabeth “Liz” Beaupre, 79, died on Monday, December 13, 2021, at her home where she had been lovingly cared for for years by her devoted husband Roger as she battled Parkinson’s disease.

Born November 4, 1942 in Rome, NY, Liz is the daughter of the late Carroll and Elva (Reames) Freeman of North Western, NY. She married Roger Beaupré on September 1, 1962 and they lived together for 59 years.

Liz loved spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were very special to her and she was very proud of them and their accomplishments. She loved supporting them and spoiling them. She was always available if her family or friends needed anything and was quick to step in and offer help. She also loved taking care of people and worked at Oneida County Hospital in Rome as a nurse’s aide before having children. After fulfilling her role as a stay-at-home mom, she worked with people with disabilities at Liberty Enterprises in Amsterdam, NY and as a school bus helper for students with disabilities. She has been an active member of the Town of Florida Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She loved working in her garden and making jams and pickles, camping with friends and family, and was good at making amazing handcrafted creations from any material she could get her hands on. She and Roger loved to travel and took many trips to see the world together.

Liz is survived by her husband, Roger; his daughter, Rochelle and Wayne Beagle of Chittenango and their children, Kevin and Marie, David and Sarah; and his son, Doug and Jennifer Beaupre of Westmoreland and their children, Tyler and Alexa.

A funeral service and celebration of life will be held this spring at Westernville Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at michaeljfox.org, or to Hospice & Palliative Care Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413.
