If you can’t wait to check into a fancy hotel

Turn on a The Lab candleand it’s easy to pretend you’re staying in a fancy suite somewhere. The New York-based brand is a popular maker of toiletries for luxury hotels (Rose 31, for example, is the Fairmont’s signature scent), and also developed Cade 26 specifically for the Gramercy Park Hotel. If you dream of sipping tea in India

Ben Gorham, founder of Byredo, grew up in Toronto, New York and Stockholm, but the scent of his nostalgia-infused Chai candle is a nod to another time and place: his grandmother’s house. in India, where sipping spiced tea was a ritual.
