Birkenhead Trampoline Club members bounce back ahead of trip to Italy

The BIRKENHEAD Trampoline Club will send both a gymnast and a coach to represent Great Britain at the upcoming European Championships 2022.

Beth Williamson, 22, will fly to Rimini in Italy at the end of May and the competition will start on June 1, 2022.

Beth’s coach, Sarah Madge, will also fly to Italy after being selected as one of Team Great Britain’s coaches for the event.

Sarah said: “Beth has done a fantastic job achieving the qualifying score for this event in every trial she has entered, and we are extremely proud of her accomplishments.

“After the Europeans, Beth will focus on securing a place in the squad for the World Championships in Bulgaria at the end of the year.”

Declan Carter, 13, has also been selected to represent Great Britain in his first international match. Declan will fly to Portugal in July with the team to compete in the 2022 Scalabis Cup.

Declan has taken a giant leap forward in his sport this year and he is currently also working on qualifying for the World Age Championships in November 2022,” said Sarah. “Declan is one of our most promising future athletes and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Josie Ryan, 14, and Theo Davis, 1, have also been capped for England.

The club, which is based at Drill on Grange Road West, Birkenhead, is looking for sponsors – if you can help or would like to join please email [email protected]
