Atletico Madrid hurt Barcelona even more as first-half goals from Thomas Lemar and Luis Suarez helped Diego Simeone’s side win 2-0 at Wanda Metropolitano.

Inter Milan were forced to strike back from behind as they returned to Serie A victory with a 2-1 triumph at Sassuolo.

Domenico Berardi’s penalty put the locals ahead in the 22nd minute, but Edin Dzeko equalized on the hour mark and Lautaro Martinez, also from the penalty spot, completed Inter’s comeback with 10 minutes remaining.

Their victory propelled Inter to second place in the table, behind leaders Napoli who were due to travel to Fiorentina on Sunday.
