Argentine President to travel to Rome for G20 summit – Prensa Latina

In Rome, Fernandez will hold several bilateral meetings with leaders such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, European Council President Charles Michel, Spanish President Pedro Sanchez and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

In addition, on Saturday, he will meet the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, and they are expected to discuss the achievements to reach an agreement on the outstanding debt with this organization.

In addition, Fernandez will participate in the welcoming ceremony given by the President of the Italian Council of Ministers, Mario Draghi and another meeting with the Italian President Sergio Mattarella.

On Sunday, he will hold several meetings, including those with Queen Maxima of the Netherlands; the Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus; and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. On the same day, he will travel to the city of Glasgow, for the COP 26 summit.

There, he has on the agenda to meet his counterpart from Costa Rica, Carlos Alvarado, and Guy Parmelin from the Swiss Confederation.

President Fernandez will participate in the plenary session to be held next Tuesday and return to the country the same evening.
